Who's got the summer blues?
Monday, June 7, 2010 at 05:32AM
I'm so blue, but that's a good thing. The blues of summer are anything but depressing.
I would love to join this party. What a fabulous tablescape from Between Naps On the Porch.
And couldn't you just spend hours soaking in this tub and dreaming of?....

Putting on these shoes…

And this fabulous necklace designed by Splenderosa.

It just gets better when you add this ring by designer Monika Vinader that Pretty Pink Tulips introduced us to.

As long as we are dreaming wouldn't it be nice to have lunch in Arles (as in France) and stroll past these turquoise Provencal shutters as my friend Vicki from French Essence did last week?
I have made other friends outside of the United States through my blogging and Gypsy Purple from South Africa is a woman after my own heart. She loves all things French!

Erin at House of Turquoise never disappoints. Her introduction to Liz Williams' designs are a real "blue" inspiration.
I have to credit a large part of my affinity to all things blue to Erin. Thanks for all your research and inspiration and a big thank-you for the link to our post "Summertime and the Livin Is Easy."

another great post mona! i am in love with a few of these rooms and that great necklace! (the shoes are pretty darn cute too). :)
So glad to see all of the beautiful shades of blue-my all time favorite!
What a wonderful idea for your post, showcasing all these wonderful ladies who are my friends as well. And, thank you SO SO much for the mention and photo of my necklace. This really means a lot coming from you guys. xx's

Hi Mona! Great to meet you! Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet comment. :-) Lots of pretty images in this post...such wonderful shades of blues and aquas. Susan
Serious eye candy, and several blogs that are new to me (not after I go exploring...).
Lovely collection of images.
I love me some blue. I enjoyed all of the images and I'm especially captivated by the blue shutters!
Hi Mona,
So happy to be a part of this beautiful post! If this is summertime blues --- sign me up!
These pictures make me want to go to France!!!!!!
On second thought maybe I should just try to make my house look more like I'm in France!! Although I could have my bags packed and be ready to go to the real deal in the morning.
All the teal blues make me feel cool!!!!
Lovin' all the blue - especially the turquoise Provencal shutters. Do you think if they came home one day and a couple were "relocated" if they'd be missed? Tehehe!
Thanks Mona for the mention, the link and the lovely words!!!! I`m so glad I discovered your blog last week...enjoyed the visit and definitely a follower and friend now!!
Love the blues, all shades in fact!! Fabulous images. Cool and fresh for summer!

Mona, I can't get over how fabulous all these images are. Each and every one is an inspiration. Thanks, I will put this whole post in my "look every time you need inspiration" file! Lidy
Sounds like everyone has the "blues" this summer. Talena and I spent about 5 hours today looking at fabrics for a client. We found some pretty great blues to work into her living room.
The images are inspiring.....I always enjoy new concepts and ideas for decorating. Very European...nice.
This was a truly beautiful post Mona. Thank you so much for checking Gwen's design today. Did you notice that the earings I have on my post are probably part of a set that Marsha (Splenderosa) designed? So cool.
Also, the series continues. Come back next Wednesday for the party and a fun announcement. :)
WOW, look at all this gorgeous blue eye-candy! I want to devour it all! It was my pleasure linking to you, I was so happy to share your inspirational blog with my readers! And a million thank you's for your link-love and kind words at the end of this post! :)
I just found your blog and I am so glad I did. I am enjoying my visit here very much, Kathysue
So pretty, Mona! Such a thoughtful and beautiful post showing blue at its best.
I admit, I'm enjoying every minute that I read your blog. Keep up it the good work, you're a great writer.
Social connectedness is important to Ilardi. In The Depression Cure, he argues that the brain mistakenly interprets the pain of depression as an infection. Thinking that isolation is needed, it sends messages to the sufferer to "crawl into a hole and wait for it all to go away".
